Exclusive Artists

We like to believe that we’re a fun company to work with – and with an increasing number of Maltese artists choosing to work exclusively with us, we’re growing fonder and fonder of that idea.

The Crowns

Having started as a foursome originally, Malta based indie/pop rock band The Crowns have been rocking local festivals with their energetic performances since 2010. Throughout the years, the band’s original music has evolved and changed following changes in line up and tastes. Inspiration comes from a multitude of artists and genres including clasic rock and modern pop.

The original members of the band are: Victorio Gauci (Lead Vocals), Gianluca Cappitta (rhythm Guitar), Chris Ciantar (bass Guitar) and Luke Vella Clark (Drums), who are still part of the band’s line-up. This formation is what led to the inception of the band’s first two singles which propelled the band into the local music charts as well as gaining airplay in the UK and Italy. While in the studio, the band identified the need for an additional member, leading to recruitment of synth player, Jean-Paul Mollicone, who contributed heavily to the release of the band’s debut album, ”someone Else”.

Between the first and second album, Jean Paul had to resign from the band due to foreign commitments, which saw Giuseppe Pecci (lead Guitar) to join the band. This change led to the band to restart work on the second album which released in 2019.

Throughout its years of music releases and gigging, the band has picked up a few awards which include:

  • Best Newcomers at the Bay Music Awards (BMAs)
  • Viewer’s Choice Award at the BMAs
  • Best Music Video at the MAlta Short Film Festival
  • Best Band at the BMAs

Claudia Faniello

My career is one big roller coaster of so many beautiful and different emotions. It kicked off with Malta Song for Europe back in 2006, and throughout opened so many doors for me which led to some really exciting opportunities. In between I have been blessed to experience several musical journeys which have given me the opportunity to work with so many talented people and also write my own music. Several singles and one album later, I look back with satisfaction at all the color music has painted my life with.

Passion, music, and that very same emotion has brought me back to the Malta Song for Europe stage  with a song that is very special to me. “Breathlessly” literally took my breath away from the very first day I listened to it… and it lit the fire inside me urging me to come back to the contest after my runner up entry – “Pure.”
